The accommodation is easily accessible to Budleigh Salterton with a traditional high street pebble beach and sea front. It also benefits from close proximity to the South West Coast Path following the Jurassic Coast. There are lovely walks to Woodbury Common and the River Otter is close by. This dignified, elegant, Edwardian resort has very much a character all of its own. The town is set into red sandstone sea cliffs with a sweeping pebble beach. Impressive cliff walks, the riverside bird sanctuary and open country of East Devons Pebbled Heaths are all factors which rightly make Budleigh Salterton so popular. Woodbury Common is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is excellent for walking, riding, cycling or just picnicking. If the arts are more your thing, enjoy the Budleigh Literary Festival in September. The town has an excellent choice of shops and amenities offering ‘old world’ standards of service. There is also a good selection of restaurants, pubs and a wonderful ice cream shops! The pebbled beach in Budleigh Salterton stretches for two miles and is perfect for bathing in the crystal-clear water on a summer’s day or kayaking with Devon Kayaks.
