A beautiful recently converted dairy, in the beautiful village of Chelmorton, a classic White Peak limestone village in stunning upland scenery, a very quiet and peaceful village within the Peak District National Park & Derbyshire Dales. James Cottage is a luxurious 2 bedroom cottage for couples, families or groups where both king size beds can be split into twins. Ideal for cyclists, where there's a secure garage, with drying facilities & bike wash. Perfect spot for walkers to explore the Derbyshire Dales & Peak District. The Cottage has an open plan living/dining area, with underfloor heating on the ground floor, with added benefit of a wood burning style, bioethenal stove, an eco friendly fire, for those cosy nights in. The master bedroom has ensuite facilities with the second bedroom having a king size bed and use of the family bathroom. There is a seating area to the rear of the cottage with a beautiful summer house to use for those summer evenings. They is a small park close by for the younger children. There is ample private parking with the facility of a secure garage for bicycles & motor bikes including a drying area and bike wash. We provide complimentary tea, coffee, milk and coffee pods. Extra bioethanol fuel can be purchased from us for the fire if required. Closest shop is Aldi towards Buxton, a 6 minute drive. Closest pub is the Church Inn a 2 minute walk away. Serves excellent food. We live next door to James Cottage at Grindon House so we are on hand if needed but like to give our guests space, the cottage has its own outdoor area with the use of a lovely Summer House, table & chairs so guests can relax and enjoy the countryside.. We are always available if you need any assistance during your stay by phone, text or call etc. We are happy to help with suggestions on days out, walks or fabulous local pubs.

Chelmorton is a small village, a 10 minutes from the nearby towns of Buxton & Bakewell , Chatsworth House is a 25 minute drive and is in walking distance to the Tissington & Monsal trails. We have an excellent village pub, within a 2 minutes walk from the cottage, The Church Inn, who serve a variety of great pub food and local ales. The village park for the younger members of the family is only a minute away from the cottage , A car is a necessity here in Chelmorton but it’s lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of City life , at James Cottage we have ample off road parking for guests. The closet shop is Aldi a 6 minute drive away towards Buxton.
