We loved the location, just a 5 minute walk to Portobello Beach and a 20/25 min bus ride into the centre of Edinburgh on the very frequent No 26 bus for £2. Parking was free outside the apartment and in roads nearby. Loved the view of the busy church opposite. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen well equipped (no microwave at the moment) and the bed and sofa very comfortable. The 36 spiral stairs up to the apartment keep you fit! The wifi was very good. Quirky shops/Sainsbury’s Local and restaurants/fish & chip shops nearby. My husband was able to mend the door hinges mentioned in a previous review with a screwdriver he found in the airing cupboard, all good now!

Super clean and sanitize. I don't understand why people complain about the water pressure and hand soap. This is not a hotel. You need to bring everything you need and use. And about the light on the street, just put a towel on the window and it's dark. Use your brain, people. Very happy with my stay. Will return again in future. Recommend!

The location and the atmosphere

The location was a bus ride from Edinburgh city centre and situated close to the beach. So perfect for getting to the festival , but also escaping it!!! It was clean, compact, but perfectly adequate with some lovely decor touches. The owner was always quick to respond, but if the property came with an information pack I wouldn't have had to bothered her (I'm sure the questions must be annoying!). The sofa bed my 14yo slept on was comfortable and the bedding and towels provided were lovely and clean. I was sad to leave!
