Maunditts House was originally built as a farm workers cottage for a nearby farm and has been greatly enlarged and renovated by us over the last 30 years. We have a large garden with a seasonal outdoor pool. We have some very friendly bantam hens who enjoy free range of the garden. We have been enjoying hosting B&B guests for around 8 years and have had the privilige of meeting and making friends with a great many delightful guests, many of whom return to visit us regularly. All our rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and we supply a variety of beverages and biscuits free of charge. Two rooms have self catering facilities - please see individual room information for full details. Unless you are self-catering on a longer term basis, rooms are serviced daily with towels and linen being replaced as required. Full size toiletries are supplied. There are hairdryers and alarm clocks in all the rooms and we can supply an ironing board & iron should you need one. All our rooms have wall mounted flatscreen digital televisions with dvd players. We have a small library of films and CDs for you to borrow or please feel free to bring your own films or music.

Maunditts House is situated 2 miles from the historic town of Malmesbury on the B4042 in the direction of Wootton Bassett and Swindon. We are only a few miles from either J16 or J17 of the M4. We are ideally situated for easy access to Malmesbury, Tetbury, Chippenham, Swindon, Cirencester and the Cotswolds. Our location is very convenient for events at Winkworth Farm, Badminton House, Castle Combe Race Circuit, Kemble Airfield, Gatcombe Park, Cheltenham, Cotswold Water Park, Westonbirt Arboretum and the Womad Festival. We are 10 minutes from the M4 and so Bath, Bristol and Swindon are within easy driving distance. Both Lacock and Castle Combe are close by and both will be familiar as film set locations for many well known films including Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, War Horse, Dr Dolittle and the drama series Cranford. We are 2 miles from Dyson HQ in Malmesbury. There are two local pubs within a mile of us - The Somerford Arms in Little Somerford and the Rose and Crown in Lea. There is a further choice of eateries in the lovely town of Malmesbury, just 2 miles from us. Further afield, both Tetbury and Cirencester also have a large choice of pubs and restaurants
