The property is a residential Victorian house (Built in 1838) and retains many of its original features. Our two B&B rooms are on the 1st floor and are decorated in individual styles. Whether it be The Highlands Room which gives a warm Scottish Country Hotel feel or The Vettriano Room which is more classical and oozes style, either will surely please. Our medieval style dining room is always a favourite with our guests where they can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast or optional evening meal. (October-April) We are always on hand to ensure our guests have everything they need whether it is within our home or to organise taxis or restaurant bookings or supply information on the local area. Our sole aim is to ensure our guests feel 'at home' and enjoy their stay.

Having spent 45 years nursing with the occasional foray into other professions I am now happy running our small B & B which gives me ample opportunity to cook to my hearts content so you will find homemade cakes in your room on arrival ! I initially trained in Theatre design after leaving school and now enjoy using some of those skills in my home. The dining room is quirky (but quite a hit with our guests! My husband and I have sailed all of our lives, owning several boats during our time. Those days are now unfortunately over but we never tire of talking about it if you have the same interest. My husband Terry was born on the Isles of Scilly and was aa Electrical Engineer in the RAF then with IBM. He has played fiddle since the age of twelve and ran his own Ceilidh band for many years but he still plays regularly locally. We both enjoy meeting our guests and hearing their stories so please don't be shy! Having said that if you just want your 'own space' that's absolutely fine. We just wish you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay with us.
