Your drive to Tigh Mairi takes you along one of the most spectacular and scenic roads in the whole of Scotland and most certainly on the Isle of Skye. Down at the shore in Elgol there is a small harbour where the local fishing boats land their catches daily. There are fantastic views of the Cuillins across Loch Scavaig. Boat trips on board the Misty Isle run daily from the harbour into Loch Coruisk at the foot of the Cuillins. Trips are also available to the small isles of Rum, Eigg, Canna and beyond. A delightful tea and craft shop behind the village hall and a recently opened Bistro must be visited.
