Yellow Gate Cottage is just off the high street of beautiful Porlock village within Exmoor National Park. The cottage has two bedrooms and a quaint courtyard garden with seating area. Private off-site parking is available and one pet is welcome, free of charge. The property is a nineteenth century mid-terrace cottage which is set back from the main road. It's comfortable and well equipped, ideal for couples or small families wanting to explore this lovely village and Exmoor further afield. Porlock high street is just a stone’s throw from the front door, with a range of shops for you to enjoy. It's a traditional working Exmoor village boasting three pubs, two grocery shops, Post Office, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre plus other independent restaurants, shops, and tea rooms. Nearby Porlock Weir is just 1.5 miles, a short drive or a coastal or woodland walk, here you'll find more local eateries (pub, restaurant and tea rooms) plus the 13th century harbour and the pebble beach! Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles away, or 10-15 minutes in the car. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town. Minehead has a sandy beach and is a bustling town. It's the terminus of the West Somerset Steam Railway which chugs along the beautiful Somerset coastline and through the countryside to Bishops Lydeard.
