Located right on the beautiful Nerantza beach, Villa Jolimax offers you a memorable. relaxing holiday right by the sea, in a beautifully built and decorated villa with its own,private swimming pool and a wonderful, blooming garden. Ideal for families and children, Villa Jolimax is welcoming and private, while the surrounding village and nearby towns allow guests to have a variety of entertainments, local restaurants, playgrounds, sea sports, shopping and night life. The interior house is perfectly decorated in white and blue colours with touches of exquisite antiques, drawings and art items. Guests can enjoy a large music collection, and a piano. Holidays in Nerantza Villa Jolimax are also an opportunity for guests to enjoy a deep connection with nature, savouring early sunrise and sunsets by the sea, in a very quiet and private environment. The beach is directly outside the house door and is offered as a private beach; the sea is usually calm and warm, perfectly adequate for adults and children, while the garden BBQ caters for family and friends leisure lunch or dinners by the swimming pool.
Villa Jolimax (name created by the family JO-hn, LI-tsa, MA-kis, X-enia) was designed and built by John Kourtoglou, a prominent Athenian Architect and Civil Engineer. Coming from an aristocrat family of Constantinople, John was one of the few Civil Engineers with his diploma from the Polytechnic University of Athens, and had a brilliant career, having built numerous monuments and apartment houses all over Athens and suburbs. John was married to Litsa, an Athenian beauty much younger than him and they had two children, Prodromos, also a Civil Engineer, and myself, Polyxeni (Xenia), a market research and communications entrepreneur. I inherited the villa when my dear father John passed away, realizing his dream to build a swimming pool in the garden; with all the new renovation and decoration, Villa Jolimax is a true jewel in Nerantza! I have an only daughter, Katia Paschou, a successful, highly talented soprano, with a brilliant career at the National Opera House as well as a vast number of recitals in Europe and New York. Katia has repeatedly performed recitals and plays at Villa Jolimax, where all our friends and neighbors have enjoyed her divine voice and performance.
Located in the area that the world-famous composer, Mikis Theodorakis, chose for his holiday villa, in Vrachati of Corinth, a 5-minute drive from the estate. Also, interesting sites within 1-2 hours drive from the house one can find: - The world-famous theatre of Epidavros, where plays by important Greek and international writers as well as ancient tragedies and comedies are still performed today. - The ancient town of Corinth, the fortress of Ancient Corinth (Acrocorinthos), - The Corinthian Canal - Ancient Olympia where the Olympic flame was lit for the first time, and is still kept as a tradition for all Olympic Games - Ancient Sikyon with its Temple and Therapy areas - Delphi (the ancient Manteion) - Mycenae (ancient Palaces) - Loutraki Casino and health/wellness hotel and spa The village of Nerantza offers all facilities you need at walking distance: supermarket, mini markets, pharmacy, taverns and places to eat fantastic local food, great beaches for swimming and sunbathing; actually, our shallow crystal clear sea that has also been awarded a “Blue Flag" (indicating that the sea is clean and safe to swim).
