This place is family-owned, & they are the sweetest people. Always so welcoming & helpful when/if we needed anything. We arrived super early the morning of our check-in. Our room wasn’t ready (I knew beforehand that we would be early), but we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel to go get breakfast & see the area. When we got back, our room still wasn’t ready, but they quickly & kindly switched our room so that we could get settled in. The facilities were nice & clean. The pool area is so relaxing. Every morning after we were up & out of the room, they came & switched linens/towels & tidied up. The location is honestly perfect. It’s not right on the beach, but it’s a really short walk to the beach & all the restaurants in Perissa Beach. There’s also a really nice bakery a short walk away that we visited every morning. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed staying at Philoxenia!

What an amazing 11nights spent here in this homely, friendly hotel. I couldn’t fault it. My boys loved it as did my husband and myself. Literally minutes from the stunning Perissa Black Sand beach. It has everything you will need. Transfers to and from the airport.

The hotel is extremely clean and the owners very kind. The rooms are pretty and comfortable. Very close to the beach and there are a lot of shops and restaurants near by. I would totally go back.

We had an amazing stay here. The property itself is gorgeous, our room had our own kettle and hob which we could use. It is ideally situated located in Perissa, close to the black sand beach and the Ancient town of Thira. The hike, which we did, takes an hour from the accommodation each way and is well worth it. In terms of transport, we rented a quad in Perissa and used it to travel to Oia for the iconic sunset which isn’t to be missed. We got a transfer at the port but we would recommend using the hotel transfer which is better value. You can get a public bus but you need to travel to Fira and then get another to Perissa. The hotel is amazing value for Santorini and one of our many stops on island hopping and our favourite hotel. The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and an asset to the business. We saw reviews complaining about no breakfast included but the hotel is a thirty second walk from the beach front which has multiple eateries. 1000% recommend.
