We are ideally placed for you to explore the Galway region and Ireland’s “Hidden Heartland” with stunning scenery, fantastic hiking, cycling and exhilarating water sports and the West of Ireland – home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe.

The cottage is within 5 km of the charming village of Creggs with a fully stocked local shop, take-away, and two pubs (be sure to catch the trad session at Dolan’s if your stay includes the first Saturday of the month) to cater to your daily needs. 5 km in the other direction is Glinsk village, where you’ll find a well-stocked general store and a nice pub. Some of the finest walks and rambles in the mid-west are located within a few minutes of the cottage, including the Suck Valley Way (110 km river valley loop trail) which passes only a couple of kilometers from the cottage. A host of local activities are just a stone’s throw away, including: cycling, horse riding, fishing, castles and country house tours, museums and water sports to name but a few so there's plenty of fun for all the family!
