This beautiful holiday home with its old-world charm is situated in the village of Carracastle, midway between Charlestown and Ballaghaderreen (4 miles from each) on the Mayo/Roscommon border.
This stunning renovated cottage, which dates back over 200 years old, has three large bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen.
The cottage has mystical charm, is on its own spacious grounds and is close to a church, shops, a post office and a local pub.
Set back in a peaceful and scenic location the house can accommodate seven people and has all modern facilities.
The house is accessible to the disabled and has two bathrooms with shower/baths -with one an en-suite.
There is a playground with swings/slide and spacious grounds.
Includes a fuel stove, fuel costs extra

Carracastle is located just inside the County Mayo border and is very
convenient for touring the west of Ireland.
It is five minutes drive from Charlestown and Ballaghadereen, 10 minutes
drive from Ireland West Airport Knock, 15 minutes drive from Knock Shrine, 25
minutes drive from Claremorris and Castlebar, a 40 minutes drive from
Westport and a 30 minute drive from Sligo, Ballina, Boyle and Carrick on
Shannon.
Touring
Carracastle is within easy reach of Knock Shrine, Castlebar, Ballina,
Westport, Roscommon, Boyle, Sligo and Enniscrone on the Atlantic Coast,
while Galway and Donegal are just over a one hour drive away.
A day trip to Westport by car offers a fantastic variety of destinations
for all tastes.
Clew Bay and Louisburgh just outside the west Mayo town offer a multitude
of beautiful, jaw-dropping scenery, while the 42km Greenway is the longest
off-road walking and cycling trail in Ireland.
The Greenway traverses Ireland’s Atlantic coast between Westport town and
Achill Island and visits the picturesque villages of Newport and Mulranny
(Mallaranny).
It passes by some of the West of Ireland’s most dramatic mountains and
offers magnificent views of Clew Bay and its
