The palace initially belonged to the Bernardo family, one of the oldest noble families most important in the city for the trade of spices and fabrics. The Bernardo family owned two palaces belonging to two different branches of the family. That of Sant'Agostin (where Ca' Bernardo is located) was described by the English scholar John Ruskin, in his Le pietre di Venezia of 1853. A staircase of honor will introduce you on a journey through time, between noble halls and halls framed by frescoes of the school of Tiepolo, where the ancient beauties have been brought back to life and dialogue perfectly with the style of Francesco Molon to recreate the magical atmosphere of ancient Venice and its splendor and refinement. Palazzo Ca' Bernardo is located in San Polo, a district in the heart of Venice, a district where Venetian life takes place in its daily life. The building in fact, thanks to its location is well connected to everything both to the mainland and to the main attractions of the city, such as Rialto, Campo San Polo and the Grand Canal, places where the real Venetian daily life takes place.
