Ryokan Hakone Kowakien Tenyu

They provide all support for us. we went after wedding and we recieved flowers and events. My wife was pregnant so they put caffeine free tea which was really good time. We would like to go there every year

They accommodated my food allergies and made me feel very comfortable eating/staying there. I was very happy with this service.

We really enjoyed the onsen at this hotel. Although we only stayed for one night, we made sure to enjoy all the different onsen and both rotenburos (even in the rain) were amazing! Having the hot spring bathtub on the balcony was also amazing and allowed our toddler to enjoy his first onsen experience. We reserved the half-board option and really enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast! Our preschooler and toddler also liked their meals. We didn't buy a half-board option for our toddler, but the hotel kindly provided a bowl of rice and miso soup for him at both meals. After 1.5 years of no travel, this was a lovely experience for our family.

I loved the view, the garden, how relaxed everything was. I got to wake up to the sunrise and the sunset, and I got to walk around and spend time looking at the beautiful waterfall with my husband. The beds blankets were so fluffy and I brought home a lot of souvenirs from the store to remind me of my great stay. The cleaning staff and the waiters were so kind. I will never forget them.

Everything, the food, the hotel facility, the room, the complimentary shampoo conditioner and body lotion.

Excellent in any possible way!! Onsen is with amazing view and is to die for. Food is excellent and staffs is always nice and with happy face, special thanks to Moe Kitabayashi for her kindness and hospitality. It is on an expensive side compared to other hotels but definitely worth staying!! Will definitely come back.

This definitely exceeded my expectations, the booking.com site doesn’t do justice. We were greeted by amazing customer service, they carried our bags to our rooms. The room was beautiful with a private onsen bath. The dinner was phenomenal and the service was just as good. It was my boyfriends birthday and they made the birthday plate for us and took and printed a photo of us as a memory. The onsen was also AMAZING. MUST STAY!!! Amazing value for your money.

The staff were unbelievably accommodating. We had planned a dinner off the premises and they were able to get us a taxi there. Unfortunately, taxis back were impossible (service ends around 8pm) and so a staff member personally picked us up in a hotel van to bring us back safely.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We loved our room (especially the private bath on the deck!). It snowed on our second day there, so we got to witness the hotel turn into a winter wonderland - it was GORGEOUS. The included breakfast is also great- a lot of options ranging from American to traditional Japanese breakfast. However, the real highlight for us was the onsen facilities. They rotate every the day which is the mens vs womens spa, so you can experience both the infinity pool outdoor spa overlooking the valley one day, then the outdoor grotto spa under a waterfall the next day. I would return to this hotel purely for the onsen experience.

The hotel itself is very modern, sleek, and clean but still with a traditional feel. The public onsen was beautiful and the private baths on the room balconies were also very nice. The staff were all very kind, although they did not all speak great English (some did!). Beds were very comfortable, loved the traditional clothes, and the breakfast spread was huge (Western and Japanese style breakfast on offer). Overall a great experience!
