In the center of Eggedal you will find several stores as well as the Eggedal Borgerstue. Sigdal is called an artist's valley. Museums are located in a row up the valley, including Blaafarveværket, Lauvlia, the house of Theodor Kittelsen and Hagan, the house of Christian Skredvig. At Sigdal Motorsenter you can rent go-carts and ATVs. In winter you will find beautiful ski slopes nearby as well as opportunities for skiing at Norefjell Ski Center.
