Mining is of historical importance in the village of Grua, and here you can visit Norway's oldest registered iron mine dating back to 1538. The Østhagan nature reserve with its old iron mines is therefore one of the main attractions in the Grua district. The Hadeland Mining Museum is dedicated to the mines, rocks and minerals of the area and is also an interesting excursion destination.
