The wood-burning fireplace is a great option for winter stays, or utilise the easy indoor-outdoor flow onto the balcony for an easy summer set up! The immediate area offers some great cycle and walking tracks, including the start of a couple hiking tracks at the top of the road for the avid hikers! Enjoy the best of both worlds with Havelock town centre and main street at the bottom of the road just a five-minute walk, the Pelorus Sounds boat ramp about 1km away, and the boat ramp for Queen Charlotte Sounds at Anakiwa less than 30-minutes away via a very scenic drive. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
