Together with my husband Hans, a Dutch academic and photographer, I have been hosting guests at our lot since the end of 2019. The pandemic interrupted our business, but now we are back, with the cheapest prices on Bantayan Island! Personally, I like to cook, next to taking care of our two baby daughters, Charlize and Laurie. My husband has many interests in the fields of Art, Literature, Photography and Politics. Our eldest daughter (born January 2021) loves to play with other kids, and can communicate in English. For babies/toddlers, we have a crib ("kuna"), toys, baby bad, high chair, baby nest, etc.

Our village (barangay) Obo-ob is an increasingly popular destination on Bantayan Island. It is only 15 minutes driving from the white sand beaches, the cafes and restaurants of Santa Fe, and 10 minutes driving from the capital Bantayan Town, with its large public market, banks, shops and offices. Obo-ob is known for its Omagieca Mangrove Park, and also has its own little beach now, the "Kasing. " over the last year, the roads have been improved, so that it is easier to reach than ever. Further interesting destinations are described on our FB site: Ogtong Cave, Molina de Bantayan, Bantayan Nature Park, Kalinaw Resort, Kota Park, Balidbid Secret Lagoon, etc. Take advantage of the sunny weather to go swimming - but use a strong sunblocker to protect your skin. Sunblockers can be bought at Watson's Drugstore at the Plaza in Bantayan, and at pharmacies. For dining out, there are many restaurants in Santa Fe: Tiki Bar, Coucou Bar, MJ Square, HR Restaurant, Amihan, Thai-Phoon, Athena Greek Restaurant, etc. In Bantayan Town, we recommend Diego's Kitchen. Smaller eateries and cafés in Bantayan Town include the Kermit's Café, the Fisherman's Cafe next to Peter & Paul's Church (inside court), the Chillstop at the west side of the Plaza (excellent Korean siomai). If you prefer to stay at our guesthouse in the evening, you can cook in our kitchen (free), or we can cook for you (extra charge). We have no regular restaurant, so please talk with us in advance.
