The area is known for its lively nightlife, great restaurants, and shopping— with the largest mall in the Caribbean, Plaza Las Américas, only a 7-minute drive from the house. Hato Rey is also home to the Puerto Rico Convention Center, which hosts a variety of events and concerts throughout the year. The area is also within 5 miles of popular beaches. Hato Rey is the great place to stay to experience both local and touristic favorites. While the area is walkable, most attractions, including restaurants, will require a car.
