This is an old mill town and two local mills still exist. One still blows a whistle each weekday to call the locals to their workplace. You can feel the history here, for sure. Forty-five minutes away, book a Katahdin cruise for a relaxing site-seeing excursion. Want to time travel back to the 50's? Reny's Department Store in Dexter will delight your fancies.
