Step-by-Step Self-Catering and B&B is an accommodation establishment situated in Glenhaven, a low-density suburb to the south of Bellville, Cape Town, South Africa. It has 3 rooms, each of which can accommodate 2 people, and one family room, which can accommodate 4 people. This means all in all, it can accommodate 10 people between the four rooms. Each of the beds can be separated into two single beds, ideal for companies who require their employees to be sharing a room, but not beds. At the moment all rooms get to share 2 bathrooms between them. The housekeeper, who stays on the premises, ensures that the bathrooms and all other shared facilities are clean at all times. For relaxation, guests can make use of the shared living area and can get to watch their favourite DSTV Compact channels here. There is also a decent-sized backyard with braai facilities for those who like relaxing outdoors and families travelling with kids will love the park across the road. With regards to meals, guests have the option to make their own meals in the shared open-plan kitchen; can get the housekeeper to make meals for them (upon advance request); or order in using Uber Eats, Mr Delivery or Bolt Food. Fast food and dining restaurants are also close by, if you don't mind taking the drive.

Guests to the property will be hosted by the housekeeper who is also responsible for ensuring that guests have everything that they need and that their rooms and common facilities are clean at all times. The owner, on the other hand, is someone who is well-travelled and has stayed in home-like accommodations during most of her trips. Although she does not stay on site, she is accessible by telephone, WhatsApp or email. She seeks perfection in everything she does. Her motto is based on the Bible verse, Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord.”

Glenhaven is a small, peaceful, safe and friendly low-density suburb of only 0.61km squared to the south of Bellville. It is centrally located and is in close proximity to most industrial areas, universities, hospitals, shopping malls and major highways. The area is pretty much safe – you are unlikely to see high boundary walls or fencing on the properties of those residents who have stayed in the area for decades, except for the newcomers, who are more security conscious. There are only 2 entry points into the suburb, both from the Peter Barlow Road.
