Our house is located against Elsie's Peak overlooking the Fish Hoek valley on the southern peninsula of Cape Town. This is a beautiful open plan private space that has two outside areas to enjoy. The balcony leading off the living area is a sun trap in the morning and a lovely shaded area to enjoy sundowner in the afternoon. The sheltered courtyard garden enjoys morning shade and afternoon sun. Fish Hoek beach is a 10min walk away. Kalk Bay, 5min drive & Cape Point 25min drive.
Hi my name is Dani. I am a photographer and writer. I live in Cape Town with my husband and our 9 year old daughter. Rob is a theatre maker, comedian, entertainer and together we have written a series of children's books, audio books and shows. The name Sugarbush Cottage is inspired by our first book. You will be able to find details of this creativity in this calm space. We are hugely inspired by the abundant natural and cultural diversity that surrounds us in the Deep South and enjoy sharing our knowledge and love of the peninsula with visitors.
There is so much to see and do in our area. Plenty of beautiful beaches (Boulders, Scarbourgh, Kommetjie to name a few) and our house is a 10 min walk away from Fish Hoek beach. There are countless hiking trails all over the place with breathtaking views of the peninsula (Cape Point National Park , Silvermine, Elsie's Peak and more). The bustling seaside village of Kalk bay with its famously picturesque harbour and home to a host of restaurants, bars and a theatre is around the corner.
