Vredehoek / Oranjezicht is very close to the central town but it's tucked away from the buzzing noises of the vibey night life of the CBD. Access to the Table Mountain Cable Car is a 5 minute drive and the famous Camps Bay and Clifton beach strip is 10 mins over the hill. Table Mountain and Lions Head offer magnificent Hiking trails that over look the entire city. 5 minute drive from the vibey Bree Street and Kloof Street. Ubers are recommended and very quick. There are plenty of parks in the area if you have kids and fabulous restaurants too! The Gardens Centre Shopping Mall is a 2 minute walk and offers two supermarket outlets aswell as coffee shops, clothing shops, book and stationary stores etc Public Transport: The MyCity bus stop is a 5 minute walk. As mentioned, Uber in Cape Town works like a charm, make sure you have the App installed on your phone before arrival. If you're hiring a car - getting around is easy and the freeway exit is 5 minutes away.
