Set at 2,225 metres above sea level, Berghaus Männlichen offers a sun terrace with great views of the Swiss Alps, a self-service restaurant, and a children’s playground. This is an absolute gem that was a stand out on our trip. The rooms, location and restaurant were all fantastic. Can not recommend highly enough!

My single room had the most stunning view of the mountains directly from my bed as well as the balcony. The breakfast was delicious and the server, Simone was a delight to deal with, always serving with warmth and a smile. I will definitely stay at this Hotel again. The library room was also a beautiful space and so was the Terrace. The hotel benefits from being a few extra minutes away from the centre and has unobstructed view of the Mountains.

The Hotel Steinbock is located at the edge of Lauterbrunnen opposite the train and cable car station for Grütschalp, Mürren and the Schilthorn. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The room was not only spacious and incredibly comfortable, but it also offered a breathtaking view. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional customer service. After accidentally leaving our camera behind, we faced the unfortunate reality that returning to retrieve it wasn’t an option. Yet, the staff and manager at Hotel Steinbock went above and beyond to ensure it was safely returned to us. Their kindness, honesty, and dedication were absolutely remarkable—and deeply appreciated. In a world where such genuine helpfulness is rare, their actions left a lasting impression on me. Whenever I return to Lauterbrunnen, there’s no question—I’ll be staying at Hotel Steinbock again and again.

The Alpenblick hotel is a family business, situated about 600 metres from the centre of Grindelwald, right at the ski slope and a bus stop, and offers nice rooms and tasty food. It is a nice place, grindelwald first is nearby. Food is good. 1 short bus ride from train station.
