Typical Ticino-style Pensione Olanda is 1 km from the Madonna del Sasso pilgrimage church, and features garden and a terrace, furnished with deckchairs and offering panoramic views of Locarno and Lake... Very cute room (with a sink) and a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. Davide made the whole stay extremely pleasant, I especially loved reading out on the terrace which had an even better panoramic view. Buffet breakfast in the morning was very homely and delicious, lots of homemade goodies that I enjoyed everyday. No 3 bus made it very easy to get from the main town to the mountains, and it felt remote and quiet. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Situated right at the lake promenade, only a few steps from the ship mooring and Locarno's Piazza Grande, the Al Pozz offers you superb views of Lake Maggiore. I loved the attention to detail and all the help with travelling from another country. I even got quick answers to questions before I arrived. ‘Great holiday destination, close to much dining.

The staff was amazing, greeting you in the morning and welcoming after a day trip. Food from the chef was delicious and from local ingredients or outright homemade including a taste of amarro. :) We were going on trips during the day and always perfectly recharched in Osteria Grütli in the evening. Higher altitude was perfect for good night sleep.

Breakfast was great, gluten free and lactose free as requested. Location was great. Right on the lake. Regular buses to Lugano

Late arrival was no issue, just as making me a great steak. Lot's of attention for my little dog, they took good care of. Breakfast was good and I was ready for the rest of the trip. In daylight I then noticed the awesome location of the village. Breathtaking!

Small but very nice and cozy comfortable room. Simple but good breakfast. Tasty bread. They serve great local wine and during the weekend there was a small food market nearby.

This place is spectacular! We had to cancel another place down the mountain which looked sketchy, this place had a small but mighty menu of home made gnocchi, a wonderful mixed salad presented beautifully and some roast beef that was delicious. Breakfast was delicious cheese and homemade jam. Even though it thunderstormed on us, we felt rested! And we really enjoyed our stay! I highly recommend the drive up the hill to this rustic beauty and charm of a hotel. Excellent!
