Ecotourism Bukit Lawang Bungalow está ubicado en Bukit Lawang y cuenta con un jardín y una terraza. Staying at Putra’s ecolodge was genuinely one of the most meaningful travel experiences in my life. From the moment I landed in Medan, everything was perfectly organized, Putra arranged a private driver to take me directly to the lodge, where Putra welcomed me late at night with so much kindness and flexibility. The bungalows are simple yet perfect: comfortable beds, deep sleep, surrounded by jungle green. Waking up to hornbills, monkeys, and endless birdsong felt magical. The location is really convenient, close enough to Bukit Lawang (20 minutes’ scenic walk through jungle and villages), yet quiet, calm, and connected to nature. Putra and his family make you feel at home. His wife’s cooking is full of love, and their restaurant is a beautiful open space to relax or work. I joined a one-night trek with Putra and his team, where we saw incredible wildlife, learned so much from his deep respect for the forest, and laughed so much thanks to his team’s humour and warmth. This place is affordable, authentic, and overflowing with heart (met some incredible travellers here too). The whole experience goes above and beyond... Thank you so much Putra and team, I am forever grateful and cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back 🥹

Toris and his family are lovely, we had a wonderful stay and it was hard to leave! The accommodation is on the beach, the setting is heavenly, Toris offers surfboards to rent and surf lessons! We ate really well and we were even able to cook sometimes too. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, I recommend without hesitation and I would like to return with pleasure!

The owner is super kind, she adapted the menu to my dietary requirements and made me the most amazing tortilla in Sumatra, she also took me to town on her motorbike to start the bike loop around the lake. Everything was so easy and smooth, they have all the info you need to know to enjoy your time at the lake. She also arranged my transfer to Padang. The massage they offer is also worth trying it. Last but not least, the views from the cottage are incredible!

Ricky’s beach house has a great location! It’s away from the busyness and noise of the city on a quiet, beautiful beach. The staff were great! They were friendly, helpful and accomodating. Food was delicious and the live music at night was a bonus- just bring ear plugs if you like an early night! There’s great options for day trips- I loved the boat trip to the island, including snorkelling, snacks and lunch! The projects attached to the accommodation are super interesting and seem to be really making a difference for the community. Great job guys!

Shower area very clean and well designed and installed (it really stood out in this regard, relative to other properties we stayed while in Indonesia). Beds and towels are clean. We want to give particular commendation to operational manager Herwin, who was of great assistance to us every time!

Megan and Mylan are just the most welcoming and helpful people. I was by myself, but never felt lost in any way because they would help me with anything. The accommodation is really nice, confortable and close to all the surf spots. So I kept extending, and ended up spending 2 weeks in krui instead of 5 days. I definitely recommend !
