This was a wonderful place to stay for a late arriving flight into KIX. For a whole room to yourself, you can’t beat the price. Room was small but very well appointed, comfortable single bed with powerful AC. The decor in the house was fantastic with heaps of maps and info about the area and Japanese culture covering all the walls. Lovely tidy little kitchen, drinking water provided, very clean shower and bathroom facilities downstairs with towels and shower toiletries provided. the room felt very private and as far as I could tell there were only three guest rooms so it’s definitely not a noisy party place, though there is a very nice communal area downstairs with books and movies to watch. Kei was a lovely host, very understanding when my Jetstar flight got delayed by 3 hours and I arrived at around 11:30 pm. The location is good, right near Minato station and a family mart. My recommendation for getting there from KIX, go to the ticket counter at KIX and get an ICOCA card, or a Kansai One Pass if you’ll be staying in the Kansai area, take the Airport Express to Nankai-Namba, change at Hagoromo to get on the Local to Nankai-Namba then get off a couple stops later at Minato. I made the mistake of changing at Izumisano to the Local to Nankai-Namba which stops at eeeeevery station along the way and took probably half an hour longer than it had to.
