Hotels with Hot tubs in Otsu

It was very nice. Rooms were extremely spacious. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Onsen in the adjacent hotel is excellent and worth visiting, for a small fee.

Genuine Japanese atmosphere. Everyone was very polite and helpful at this Ryokan. We had Japanese breakfast which was healthy and had plenty of different foods which I did not know before. The beautiful Japanese garden is just outside the dining room. We liked the private onsen especially when the day sightseeing had been very cold. We enjoyed walking to the centre, 30 min, and did not mind the distance at all.

The rooms & bathrooms were immaculately clean, beautifully presented, beds were incredibly comfortable and service was exceptional. Andres from concierge went above and beyond to get us tickets to the baseball. After 2 weeks of travelling through Japan this hotel was the clear winner for the breakfast buffet of any of the 5 star hotels we stayed at. Room service was excellent and we did it a couple of times after huge days of travelling with our young boys.

It was a beautiful Hotel and they made sure we were absolutely catered for in respect of the meals. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is situated perfectly.

The Breakfast in the Bistro, Western and Japanese were both delicious. The staff were meticulous in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. Right in the heart of the historic area.

The accommodations were very comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel. The food was presented and prepared well. Some things were unusual for us to try and we had mixed feelings about whether we enjoyed them, but it was our first authentic Japanese dinner. We would highly recommend the hotel.

The breakfast was phenomenal especially the pancakes, and the room was very cozy and nice.

The Japanese breakfast was amazing!! The staff are very friendly and polite. And you can also enjoy Sauna there. The location is great too.

Very nice location, spacious and Happy co host , Uncle was very nice , offered ice-creams for kids , took enough care.

Very closed to Shiga train station and Lake Biwa. The bakery at train station is a must do for breakfast! Washing machine and dry function for the bathroom are bonus!

Everything. Dinner was superb and they recognized my allergic ingredients I had informed since booking a half boarded room. Nice outdoor onsens including one on the top of the building. Plenty of free parking.

Beautiful traditional japanese guesthouse just on the periphery of Gion district. On busy main road but very quiet inside with bedroom looking out on pretty garden. The owner was so charming and helpful and spoke very good English. Would.highlybrecommend the breakfast both Japanese and western style were fabulous. Really good local.restaurants nearby.

I absolutely loved my stay at Utahi! It was such a special experience and unlike anywhere I've stayed before! I was travelling alone and looking for somewhere peaceful to stay, and Utahi was exactly what I was hoping for. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and struck the perfect balance between making me feel looked after and giving me space to enjoy a quiet stay. They also took the time to share their knowledge of Kyoto's culture and recommended places to visit, which made my trip even more memorable. The house itself is beautiful! It’s a traditional Japanese townhouse, with tatami floors and shoji screens still carefully preserved. Sitting by the window overlooking the herb garden, with a gentle breeze drifting through the house, really made me feel connected to the quieter, more traditional side of Kyoto. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the breakfast! They serve a traditional rice porridge breakfast inspired by meals served at Zen temples. Alongside the porridge was a selection of beautifully prepared small dishes, allowing me to try a variety of traditional Japanese flavours. It was all delicious and a lovely way to start the day! Breakfast is normally at 8am or 8.30am, but as I wanted a lie-in, I asked for 9am instead. They were more than happy to accommodate this, which I really appreciated. The bathroom is shared with the host family, but apart from cleaning times and dinner hours, it can be used freely. I never found this inconvenient at all, and chatting with the host family from time to time became one of my favourite memories from the stay. If you're looking for more than just a place to stay, I can't recommend Utahi highly enough. The combination of the beautiful traditional house, the warmth of both the host family and the staff, and the opportunity to experience Japanese culture and hospitality made it feel like so much more than just somewhere to stay.

Everything was incredible. Toru-san was very accommodating and friendly, and also a genius for making the machiya so beautiful and charming. The design of the machiya was absolutely brilliant, and every tiny detail had been thought of. Toru even provided us with tea and snacks, which we were very grateful for after long days exploring Kyoto. The bedrooms were very cosy and comfortable, and the bathroom and sauna were just perfect for a soak and a relax at the end of the day. I could go on forever about how excellent the machiya was, but there's only so much you can fit into a short review! "さんきゅうそうまちや! "
