It was the best stay in our Portugal holidays. Attention to details is just magical here. Perfect match of Portugal history and new age quality. It exceeded our expectations. Room was spacious with amazing views from the balkony. All hotel feel like home away from home with attentive staff and designed details all over the property. The setting and location were simply perfect . The family run small 5 bedrooms made it exceptionally quiet , the staff couldn't do enough for you . The food was fantastic and the hotel restaurant was full most evenings with many locals which is always a good sign . We felt so welcome and really got to know everyone even the chefs of which on occasions was the hotel owner . His wife Phillipa and the children were wonderful and it was sad to say goodbye . They even gave us a handmade personal gift to go home with and we plan to return in September. The location was perfect for driving to the beach or Porto or Braga both wonderful cities but we enjoyed the most Gerès National Park for walking and kayaking which was an enjoyable scenic drive of around 50 minutes on easy roads to drive
