Lovely hotel miles from anywhere so if you like peace and quiet this is the place to go. Very polite and helpful staff. Great food in the restaurant, plenty of choices.Wonderful apartment overlooking the ocean and fantastic views all round. Indoor pool and sauna very good and even used outdoor pool..though a tad chilly in January! great location for walks and there's a courtesy bus to Calheta and the rum distillery...all in all a great holiday.

The hosts were super friendly. You could tell they enjoy hosting people. I had a bottle of wine and cookies waiting for me on arrival. The place had all the kitchen basics like oil and salt, which are key for short stays and avoiding waste. I had a lovely espresso machine and capsules already there. I even had fresh chicken eggs and radish from their garden left as treats. The place was cozy, just the right size and you were welcome to use the garden furniture. I got to watch rainy and sunny at the same time sunset from under patio roof. There are some really good hikes near by which is why I choose this place so well worth the steep signature drive of Madeira 😅

We had such a lovely stay here and can wholeheartedly recommend this place! There are so many things to love, but one of the most special parts of our stay was the little cat who visits the house. He’s very gentle and never pushy — but if you’re an animal lover and offer him a bit of kindness (and maybe some cat food), he’ll reward you with purring and the sweetest cuddles. He truly adds a unique charm to this place 🐾 We were also welcomed with a generous basket full of local Madeira products — such a thoughtful and warm gesture. We don’t eat meat or drink alcohol, so we didn’t try everything, but there were still plenty of delicious treats for us to enjoy. The house itself is spotless, with beautiful views from the rooms, a functional bathroom, and a very well-equipped kitchen. Having access to a washing machine and dishwasher made everything even more comfortable — it really has everything you might need. The pool and jacuzzi are great, especially on hot days when you need to cool down — though on cooler days the water can be quite refreshing (or a bit chilly). The surroundings are absolutely magical — ocean views, peaceful nature, grazing cows, singing blackbirds, and that adorable cat create an unforgettable atmosphere. The garden is stunning as well, clearly very well cared for and full of lush greenery. On top of that, the hosts were kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful place with a touch of local charm — and don’t mind making a furry friend along the way — this is truly a gem 💛

The house is in a calm street and has a beautiful view over the ocean. There is all equipment one might need. We enjoyed also the rooftop terrace having also a jacuzzi. Gustavo was very helpful providing info about the area and things to see. The nearby restaurant he suggested had excellent food!

View, comfort, everything we need

We loved the stay at the apartment, it was bigger than expected and we had the nicest view from our balcony! The apartment is in calheta, from where you can reach the while island very fast. Zeza was super sweet and so so helpful also with choosing destinations/hiking trips! We would highly recommend staying there and will come back for sure!

An excellent house. We arrived very late at night and they were waiting for us. Messages replied very quickly. The house is amazing: very clean, has anything you need and the rooms are exceptional like in a hotel. They left a welcoming basket and the bathrooms have toiletries too. Beds very comfortable and lots of pillows to choose from.

Nice, clean, good internet connection, perfect location

We were very pleased with our stay as the hotel was dare I say, the best accomodation I’ve ever stayed in. The bars were amazing as well as the staff, that was exceptionally kind and helpful. I definitely want to come back here someday.:) Also the side ocean view was beautiful.

Great host, everything you need is there.

Very good facilities. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. A very nice view and terrace area with decent outdoor furniture to use. Nice and peaceful area. Lovely responsive owner who was readily available. Overall the perfect stay.
