The apartment exceeded our expectations. It is in a wonderful location, very central so we were able to visit all that we wanted to on the Outer Banks. There are three balconies which caught the sun at different times of day.

Was a bit disappointed with the accommodation a bit dated , very standard , felt really basic , porch was not usable dirty and uninviting, we are from Scotland and have stayed at the vacation club there, which is far superior it had the wow factor .so a bit of a let down , out side the main building is absolutely breathtaking , beautiful enjoyed walking and sitting in that location. But only spent about an hour around the main fountain area and went out and about .

The air conditioner was so loud that I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep and kept waking up. The hotel is too old, and the facilities are not in good condition. The water pressure in the shower and bath was very weak. The price is too high for the quality of the facilities. I was looking forward to breakfast because of the good reviews, but it wasn’t much different from other hotels. A staff lady handed out food one by one, so it wasn’t a comfortable buffet-style experience. The dining area was small, and it wasn’t easy to find a seat.

    I really liked the boardwalk and matting to/from the beach, but it was difficult at times to step up onto the mat from the deeper sand. I also liked that there were always clean towels at the pool area. There was a gentleman that checked the pool chemicals in the pools and hot tub each day which was good to see! He was quite friendly! We also were able to get extra bath towels upon request and the cleaning services were there each day to get towels and trash.

    Location is one block from the beach. There are 2 building blocks - one on the beachfront. I requested closer, but was told this was $250 more. Otherwise, our block was only one block from the beach. Road is a little busy so watch the young kids. 2 bedroom suite was spacious, clean and well equipped. The unit block has a checkin lounge with games, books, dvds, popcorn which the kids loved. There are also daily activities. Some people are permanent owners and all were lovely and welcoming.
