Gorgeous chalet in a stunning location, we absolutely loved it! The chalet has fabulous views and was furnished beautifully. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped (though store cupboard essentials were minimal: some salt and oil would have been appreciated). The beds were large and very comfortable and the bathrooms were great too with excellent showers. We enjoyed our visit to the sauna area (additional charge) and whilst there was no washing machine in the chalet, use of the shared laundry facilities was easy and much appreciated. We had quite a few storms during our week, so didn't use the outside space very often, but we all really enjoyed the newly added pool table in the chalet. The hosts are lovely people and were extremely helpful with suggestions of local activities and places to visit. We had a great week, thank you!

This privately owned Alpine-style design hotel is located in the centre of Oberammergau, 700 metres from the Passion Theatre. Hotel Maximilian offers design rooms and a spa area. A great stay overall. The breakfast was fantastic—fresh, varied, and high quality. The spa area (especially the sauna and hammam) was spotless and relaxing. Staff were professional and helpful throughout. The location is convenient for both the town and nearby nature spots. I’ll definitely come back.
