Their warmth and kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. And a special mention to Cecile, who went above and beyond to help us resolve an issue with our transfer—her dedication and genuine care were truly remarkable. The location is unbeatable, right in front of the beach, allowing us to wake up to stunning ocean views and enjoy peaceful, relaxing days by the water. The lodges are extremely comfortable, blending beautifully with the surrounding nature, creating a perfect balance of comfort and tranquility. And let’s not forget the amazing breakfast—every morning, we were treated to fresh, delicious food, making it the perfect way to start the day. Ococoloco Ecolodge is a true hidden gem where nature, comfort, and exceptional service come together to create an unforgettable experience. We are beyond grateful for the incredible hospitality and cannot wait to return to this paradise!

We stayed in room 33 which was incredible. The views were breathtaking. Our bed was very comfortable, you have a choice of your pillow. Every night they left a sweet treat on our bed. The hotel staff was above and beyond. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. They thought of literally everything to make us the most memorable stay. We didn’t want to leave! The restaurant is absolutely delicious. We ate most of our meals here. The breakfast is SO GOOD! It’s the nicest breakfast I’ve ever had included in a hotel stay. The hotel itself is located a little further south than the hustle of Praia dos carneiros but this is for the best. The beach is stunning and so quiet. We walked about 5k on the beach each way to get to carneiros which was nice for a day walk but so glad we stayed out at Almareia. I should also mentioned my wife and I don’t speak Portuguese and while most of the staff doesn’t speak English it was never a problem. They were so patient with us!

I really liked the tranquility of the place. We were surrounded by nature. Perfect access to both ocean and river. Also, I loved the breakfasts which were soooo good and beautiful as well:) Top of the tops are the owners. I really appreciate their kindness and willingness to give and show the essence of Maracaipe🤍
