We really enjoyed our stay at Sahnan Guest House! It’s such a nice place to stay in Bukit Lawang. It’s right at the river and just a short walk from the “busy” part of the village. Rooms were clean and comfy. We also had a nice terrace with chairs and a hammock. Bathrooms were pretty spacious. The guest house has a nice garden and you can really emerge into the natural atmosphere. Sadly the Orang-Utans did not visit us at the guest house, but we were visited by some other curious monkeys.

Friendly staff, helpful and excellent service. Near the big shoping mall. The hotel room was clean, nice and spacious. Breakfast offered with a wide variety of food. And the facilities gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa, sauna, Steem room.

This is a compact, clean, and modern space with stylish touches and great views of the surrounding area, just outside of town. It is well-lit, has a good bathroom, good hot water and AC, loads of natural light. The place also has a simple but good restaurant. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful.

This is the place to have a good relaxation time. We had our little house next to te water, which was great. The porch was also nice with fine chairs. I really liked the room and the bathroom. It was all clean and had everything you needed. The restaurant was amazing and offered good breakfast and lunch. Also the location was good to find a restaurant for dinner. The staff was really nice and helped you with everything.

The house and garden and relaxing areas are very nice. From the terrace you have a view on the volcanoes, so cool. The included breakfast is very good. Free water refills, tea, coffee. The room is good with private bathroom. Rico helped me also to rent a motorbike to go on a 3 day trip and booked a bus for me. I felt very comfortable, also as a female solo traveller.

An absolutely amazing place to go if you want to wind down and relax. The beach is so lovely and quiet that I ended up sleeping on my sun bed most of the day! The bungalows are wonderful, spacious rooms with great little Living-room areas and comfy sofas and beds. The balcony faces out to the sea with a hammock if you simply want to lounge all day (which we did!). The roads are surprisingly well maintained so you won't go bouncing around like you'll find in most of Indonesia.

The family running the place are incredibly lovely and also so helpful! They were full of suggestions and helped us heaps with trip logistics! Our stay was super comfortable in a spacious room with bathroom, lounge and kitchen. Great comfy bed too! They also have an on-site vegetarian restaurant that is DELICIOUS and cheap! I can not recommend Mario Lakeside Apt enough! Especially for those looking for a comfortable and self-sufficient place for longer stays!
