Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. The owner was very friendly and helpful. All meals were delicious. The location on the lake is beautiful. Vök Baths are close by.

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. it was a cute room in a stunning location. the drive here is truly something I think everyone should experience! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. the pool / hot tub looked like they were nice too, but I arrived a bit too late to enjoy them.

Great and quiet location. Comfortable for a group 6 with 3 bedrooms, 2 WC with 1 shower. Well equipped kitchen and nice comfortable living room to relax before bed. Since it’s part of the ranch, we got greeted with sheep in the morning!

This was our best stay while exploring Iceland: amazing hosts, quiet and clean rooms, super spacious dining area and kitchen, a separate huge common space with 2 pianos …and a jacuzzi in the evening on the roof between 2 mountains! Socializing and sharing tips about travel with the other guests. Nice breakfast in the morning and Paskahellir site with blueberry fields in late August just around the corner. Totally worth the trip off the ring road!!

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. Amazing location and great dinner and breakfast! The hot pools were so nice!

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. Fabulous cabin. So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Beautiful lake view, comfortable rooms with 24/7 staff. Breakfast was really good!

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Будиночок цікавий та обладнаний всім не обхідним ( кухня)
