The location is amazing with incredible views. Marco & Elisa are incredible hosts who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful stay in a property that they are rightly very proud of. We were a family of 4 with 2 small dogs and all of us were made to feel very welcome. They were on site every morning to care for the garden, clean the pool, etc and took care to make sure that they were available for any question or suggestion for local amenities we might have without being overbearing. To be able to visit Pisa, Florence, Maranello, Modena, etc from such a stunning central location was superb, although we didn't always want to leave the apartment and its serene location. Just a 5 minute drive across the valley is a medieval village with another set of stunning views and towns within a 10 minute drive for restaurants and supermarkets. A 30 minute drive takes you to Spider Park, a tree climbing experience which me and my daughters loved, my wife and dogs enjoyed the forrest walks.

Our stay at Villa Colletto was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the hills north of Lucca, the property offered everything we could have dreamed of — and more. The heart of the experience, however, was the incredible outdoor kitchen. Cooking and dining al fresco while taking in the sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside was unforgettable. The spacious balcony quickly became our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening wine — the panorama is absolutely breathtaking. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was the evening we spent with a private pizzaiolos. Watching them prepare delicious wood-fired pizzas in the outdoor oven was a highlight for both adults and children. It felt like a true celebration of Italian food and hospitality. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, striking the perfect balance between giving us privacy and being available whenever needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly at home. We stayed at this lovely hotel in the hills of Italy for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very clean, and the owners and staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We had some problems during our trip, but the staff helped us so much and made us feel at home. The hotel is in a small village on a mountain — a perfect place for a real Italian experience, surrounded by beautiful nature and warm-hearted people. We will definitely come back and can recommend this place to anyone visiting Bologna or Modena. It's quiet and peaceful, but the big cities are still easy to reach by car. Definitely coming back! :)
