Just a bit off the main shimanami kaido road lies this traditional Ryokan run by a couple (grandma and grandpa). The Ryokan itself is traditional, yet the facilities are new and clean, which is really as best as it can get - you get to enjoy the beautiful traditional Japanese architecture and Ryokan experience without having to compromise on having new toilets (totto, of course) and a new, clean shower room. The home-made washoku breakfast was delicious, so was the coffee. The staff were so helpful, nice and welcoming, and I had a great time eating dinner while talking. Do note that this Ryokan doesn't have restaurants nearby, and it gets pretty dark, so make sure to get yourself a bento at the konbini or supermarket before arriving! (They do remind you in the booking messages and description) For those who want a comfortable experience at a traditional old running Ryokan, this is definitely the place!!

I dont normally write reviews on here. This place was awesome and the hosts were great. Most bnb/guest house stays in japan are just a few sad rooms with way too many beds in them, The Feet had a wonderful aesthetic from the moment we got out of our taxi and were greeted by the beautiful smell of the flowers from the trees on the property to the gorgeous interior of the house. Its in a great location as well. 10/10 would reccomend. If more people had their vacation rentals like this i would have booked less hotel rooms on this trip ;)

☺️The owner of the B&B was very considerate - we checked in when it was the coldest days in Japan. At first, we were worried that the quilts were not warm enough, so we contacted the owner to request more quilts. Without hesitation, the owner immediately sent four more quilts from home and said that he would buy new ones for us the next day. But later we found same as he said, the room would become warm if the heating was turned on for a while. So there was no need for extra quilts. I'm so sorry for bothering him! Thanks for his kind assistance! ☺️ In addition, every corner of the room exudes a sense of design and comfort. There is a large beam in the attic bedroom, proving that it was a warehouse built in the third year of the Taisho period! ☺️ The most memorable thing is, of course, its indoor hot spring. It feels like a thin layer of oil moisturizing your skin, which is very healing!
