The hotel also has free parking and it is also only about a 12 minute walk from the city centre, so getting around is very easy. The hotel also has two private onsens on the main floor, so you don't even need to walk into town if you don't feel like it. It seems like most people only stay one night, but we stayed two and found that there is more than enough to do around the city. We spent our time alternating between hikes and different onsens! I wish I took better photos of the dinners because they were really good!

This was a tastefully designed, classy yet friendly ryokan. My room was Japanese traditional with tatami floors. Every item in it was beautifully designed. My own private hinoki bath on the balcony had a breathtaking view of the hillside and stream below, and the entire time I enjoyed the sound of the water flowing. The food was very good, they served a beautiful kaiseki meal that went on forever (it seemed). At the cafe, they served their house blend coffee called Mori-no-coffee which I enjoyed while sitting in one of their comfy chairs with an art book on my lap. The staff was courteous and nice too, it was truly a perfect day.

This was the nicest hotel room we stayed in across Japan (we stayed at 6 hotels and various other apartments, homes, and condos). Everything was updated and the layout was exceptional. The staff was kind enough to facilitate getting us a tee time at the onsite golf course. It was an amazingly beautiful course.
