Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. The service of the staff were exceptional and they went out of the way to give us a memorable experience.

The room was out of this world, and the Onsen was definitely bigger than expected, we did fit in 2 people inside and im 1.87m Yuko made our experience unique and super welcoming, she made us feel at home, arigato gozaimaishita Yuko! 🙇🙇🙇 Don't eat before dinner, cause it's a lot of food!! The view on the river/mountain was the cherry on top Oh and the beds, so comfortable! Absolutely worth every Yen!

Both the meal and the breakfast was superb. The staff explained every piece of the meal despite the language differences.

A convenient location in Kawasaki, not too far from Haneda Airport. Located in a nice neighbourhood close to many interesting restaurants and it made a nice change from staying in central Tokyo. The room and the bar area were lovely, we had large room with an extra bed for kids. The Sake on offer was lovely and tbh I probably sampled too much... We took a train to the Nihon Minka-en, really interesting to see some historical Japanese houses in Tokyo and a very peaceful park. The Taro Okamoto art museum is also great fun...

Set in Hakone’s natural beauty, Gora Kadan is located a 5-minute walk from Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Line. Guests can leisurely soak in the hot spring bath, relax with a massage treatment. Everything was amazing! The property, the stuff and the whole experience! It was a 10/10!

Surrounded by nature in Hakone, the Senkyoro Ryokan boasts a terrace and an open-air hot spring overlooking the mountains. Free WiFi is available in the lobby area. Our stay at Senkyoro was an absolute dream. We enjoyed everything, from the wonderful setting surrounded by woodland, to the traditional and charming building and facilities with a modern touch. Staff were incredibly accommodating and kind, our meals were the best ones we had in our whole trip to Japan. Our stay at Senkyoro and onsen experience was beyond our expectations. We will not hesitate to come back when in Japan.

Stylishly decorated with Japanese papers and chic furnishings, Yushintei boasts natural hot spring baths and hot tubs. Everything! The food is super delicious and beautiful! The staff are so kind!
