A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Great onsen inside the hotel, and possibility to book the outside onsen for a half-hour for a private use (by room). The staff was amazing, helpful and super kind. I absolutely enjoy the traditionnal breafast.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Our hosts were really friendly. They took us to the monkey park and get us from the Yamanouchi station as well. They have private and public onsen as well. The rooms are warm and comfortable.

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. The service was impeccable, with some English spoken, but they appreciated our efforts in Japanese. We arranged collection from the station prior which made it easier with luggage when there was snow and ice on the ground. Our room was spacious, with separate shower and toilet, lots of accessories. The highlights were the excellent Kaiseki dinners and the hot tub on our balcony. After a few weeks rushing around, it was nice to relax a bit. Wifi was good. 3 of my family don't eat any seafood, which is a bit tricky, but the kitchen planned 2 really excellent menus showcasing local ingredients. We also had a visit from the very charming hostess. I would highly recommend staying at the Aburaya Tousen as a base for visiting the Snow Monkeys and Obuse for the Hokusai museum. The buffet breakfasts had lots of choice too. Absolutely loved it.

I liked the dog so much ! I love waking up to the snow every morning and they welcome me with a warm coffee. They felt like a family to me. I enjoyed staying with them. They tried their best to understand English and they were very hospitable. Thank you!

Objekat 志賀高原 白い温泉 渓谷の湯 je smešten u gradu Jamanouči, na 14 km od znamenitosti Park snežnih majmuna Jigokudani, a nudi direktan pristup skijalištu i pogled na planinu. Amazing location, food is exceptional, staff very friendly and helpful , I would not even think twice to return back as soon as possible . Next time though a little later in December as our skiing was a little complicated by the fact that the resort wasn’t fully open yet when we arrived

Beautiful villa with a private onsen, with an amazing view of the mountains. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Location perfect for visiting the snow monkeys. Staff were very friendly. Overall a great stay; wish we could have stayed longer!

Directly connected to the slopes of Okushiga Kogen Ski Resort and within a 1-minute walk from the Lift 1, Hotel Grand Phenix Okushiga provides a convenient ski-in/ski-out access. The lounge is absolutely the highlight, here the Grand Phenix shares three things with you: great local draft beer, a gentle Okushiga snowing view, and a warm firepit. This lounge is so special that you can wait for your dinner table (because of the tight reservation in Christmas season) there while drinking your drinks by a bonfire, this even makes waiting a wonderful experience...
