Beautiful big room with a mini bar and lovely comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and went out their way to help us out. Very close to the train station and elephant tours. The surroundings were beautiful and the room was absolutely pristine.

Their kindness made our experience truly memorable. The food was also outstanding. I would highly recommend this place to all my family and friends who plan to visit Sri Lanka in the future. Even after our stay, they stayed in touch to ensure we safely reached our next destination, which was a thoughtful touch. I have no hesitation in recommending this place—it’s a must-visit. The bedroom was incredibly relaxing, and the pool was perfect, especially given the hot weather in Anuradhapura. The property is spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail in its design is evident, making it an excellent choice for guests. They even took the time to ask what could be improved for future stays, showing their commitment to constant improvement. Mr. Udaya is a truly humble and gracious host.

Beautiful property and amazing staff. Excellent location close to Hurulu Eco Park and Minneriya National Park. Food was also delicious.

Our stay at V.G.I. was fantastic. We initially planned to stay for two days, but ended up staying a week. The longer we stayed, the more we enjoyed it—not just the accommodation, but the experiences we had. As nature lovers, we aimed to observe as many animals as possible, and we succeeded 100%. Some of our favorite sightings included giant hornbills, iguana, jardon's nightjar, giant squirrels, paradise flycatchers, pond herons, crocodiles, deer, and elephants. For transportation to Ihala Kottiyaba, there are buses from the new bus station in Anuradhpra at 12:00, 14:30, and 18:00. Alternatively, you can go to the Parasangavewa junction and take a tuk-tuk (or a3-hour walk :). What we loved most: -The friendly and helpful people in the surrounding villages. They will take care of you. -Our host, Muthalif. Everyone in the 20 km area knows him, so you can explore freely and still feel safe. -Great day trips with visits to lakes and forests, and meeting wonderful people. (We ended up at W.N park once,  didnt pay for safari or anything.) -Crocodiles cruising the nearby lake every morning after sunrise. -The delicious dinners. During the hottest hours, we enjoyed relaxing around the house. If you can't sleep in the heat, opt for the AC room.

Lovely stay in the jungle! We had a warm welcome at Bangalawa Resort. They arranged all the excursions we wanted to do within some minutes. We stayed one complete day chilling at their pool! Nice location not far from the lake and the elephant park! We had a nice dinner and the breakfasts offered every moring were the best we have haddd ! Thank you so much!

Staff were so helpful and considerate ,both the manager and the guy who served us at restaurant. They even managed to prepare us breakfast the days that we had to leave before breakfast time. Tours they offer also have the best price. Swimming pool was very beautiful and large. Breakfast is great especially oat pancakes with coconut filling
