We loved absolutely everything about this gem of a property: the location in a stunning natural environment, the adorable staff, the unique history and decor of the hotel full of collectible and heirloom furniture and, of course the wonderful dinner. Food certainly was a highlight as this is generally where Norway fails to impress us. We were served a fresh, creative, and delicious dinner in the beautiful dining room overlooking the fjell. The chef even adjusted the menu for the vegetarians among us, creating genuine new dishes for us. Wow! Again, that was unexpected as eating veg in Norway is often a challenge. Everything felt authentic and personal in this independently-run property. Dinner starts with a presentation of the history of the place by the owner, their struggles during Covid and how they overcame them. Charmingly, this introduction included the reading of a poem (sadly we don’t understand Norwegian so had to rely on the translation of the presentation afterwards). Every effort is made to be sustainable : There’s a vegetable garden, the delicious bread is baked on the premisses (we took a box of the amazing Flatbrød with us) and the lovely shop sells some local cheese, honey and other specialties including, this being Norway, sweets :) We are already dreaming of a next stay to the Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to experience more of its magic and of the stunning nature around it as our stay this time was way too short. Note to the owners: stay as you are, you are a genuine gem and the world needs more places like yours. Thank you for everything!

Wow - what a wonderful place for a relaxing stay. The hosts were charming and helpful. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations - spacious and comfortable with quality furnishings and even a separate kitchen and terrace we would love to have used if warmer. The river was only 200m away for relaxing walks, and a 24hr self-serve supermarket completed the rural escape convenience! Truly one of the best stays we have had - we could not rate it highly enough!

The kitchen is well-equipped, the bedrooms are spacious, and there is an outside space with an option to grill (bålpanne) and a jacuzzi for the colder days. The location is very picturesque, and it is only a 5-minute drive to the small town with a grocery store, cafe, and a fantastic tree-top walk.

The bathroom equipped with everything you need In the kitchen we found everything we needed, from plates, cutlery to spices, sugar. Spacious leaving room. Very beautiful terrace and courtyard. Car parking in the yard. Welcoming and kind hosts.

Objekat Stylish cabin at Lifjell with jacuzzi and sauna, udaljen oko 36 km od znamenitosti Crkva Heddal stave, u ponudi ima smeštaj sa popločanim dvorištem i aparatom za kafu, kao i pogled na planinu.... Everything perfect. I highly recommend it, I think we will come back.
