The staff is very friendly, especially the waitresses and waiters. The rooms are new and very clean. Breakfast is versatile, and there is plenty of food to keep you full for the rest of the day. The main attraction is the deer, and you can feed them with food provided in their souvenir shop.

Wow, what a find! Our young daughter insisted that we stayed here after she did some 'research' and so we humoured her, not really knowing what to expect other than there was a swimming pool in the grounds and hot tub in the villa... We arrived in the evening to the most tranquil and quiet setting - we could only hear the sound of crickets! The villa was only a couple of months old and the cleanest place we have ever seen - it was spotlessly clean. The villa was lovely and well thought out. The hosts were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble - we even received some home grown veg during our stay - we made a nice bruschetta out of the tomatoes :) It's a great area to get away from it all amongst the rolling vineyards. Pjuj was only a short drive away though and Maribor was easy to visit within a day - can recommend! A couple of things to note - be prepared for insects (e.g. wasps/hornets) in this area of Slovenia and that cooking facilities consisted of a kettle and a double hob i.e. no microwave, no oven - but that really is a minor, minor point. Thank you Stanka and family - we really did have a lovely time and we hope to be back!

Best accommodation throughout my 16nights self drive trip. Beautiful, well equipped “hut” with hot tub jacuzzi and outdoor seating facing the greenery. Wonderful host meeting us at the door, she prepared fruits, chilled beers and water in fridge upon arrival which we really appreciate after visiting the castle under hot hot sun.

A wonderful place to relax. The apartment is in good repair, very cozy and warm. The bed linen is fresh and everything is very clean. All necessary amenities were available. Comfortable bed and amazing view from the window. There is convenient parking for your car and high-speed Wi-Fi. I would really like to note what a wonderful owner of the apartment she was, she warmly welcomed us. We received gifts that will remind us of our holiday in Slovenia. We had an amazing stay, everything was perfect from start to finish. The location is very peaceful and secluded, making it ideal for completely switching off from everyday stress. Breakfast was excellent. Everything we had was homemade, which made it even more special. You can also buy their homemade products, like sausages and salami, and they are incredibly good! We truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely come back :) Highly recommended!

Everything. - Our stay at the Hill Cottage Haloze truly felt like a magical escape. We enjoyed every moment we spent here. The Cottage and its garden are absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Everything we needed was there (and even more). The relaxation area was a real highlight of our stay where we used to go every evening. The summer kitchen is very practical and makes outdoor moments even more enjoyable. The view from the garden is incredible - the only noise the sheep bleating. Jerneja gave us a very warm welcome and was more than a perfect host throughout our stay! She couldn’t have been more lovely, accommodating, and flexible - and the Cottage was spotless! The Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the region, including Ptuj, Maribor, the Pohorje Mountains, Celje, Velenje, Jeruzalem and Ormož, northern Croatia and Trakošćan Castle - and even for venturing into Dolenjska (Novo Mesto, Otočec, Kostanjevica na Krki, etc.). We HIGHLY recommend to book some nights in this amazing Cottage! You won’t regret it!
