From its hilltop perch, this grandiose castle dominates the sky over Cochem. The original 12th-century construction was destroyed in 1689, but some years later businessman Louis Ravené bought the ruins and erected this magnificent Neo-Gothic beast as a summer residence. Not a bad spot for a second home.
