Schlossberg
If you want to see Freiburg from on high, Schlossberg Hill is just the ticket. This hulking, tree-covered mound forms part of the Black Forest and can be reached in three minutes by funicular train. There’s also an observation tower if you want to go higher. You could even walk up – at least there’s a beer garden to quench your thirst once you reach the summit.
