Excellent family room. The staff made it though. Gay and Chris were so helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and it was a shame we were only there for one night.

Everyone & everything was spot on! Keeping such a large property in great condition is no mean feat & all the staff & owners have done it. Highly recommend a stay here.

Great staff very friendly and helpful. An excellent breakfast lots of choice. Great location.

Lovely hotel in convenient location for Ripon city centre. Immaculate and spacious bedroom overlooking extensive grounds. Helpful and attentive staff and well stocked bar. The breakfast was delicious. Good sized car park. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

This old coaching house hotel is wonderful. The location is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dale's. We had the best ever experience, with a free room upgrade for my wife's birthday. Our room was massive , tastefully decorated, with probably the biggest and best bathroom I have seen in a hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean. The Georgian coaching house / pub is so lovely, with old stone floors and open fires. The evening meal was top notch, and the breakfast was superb. The staff were all friendly, and if we were in the area again, we would definitely book the Blue Lion.

Staff were very welcoming, room was neat and facilities were really good.

We arrived early and were welcomed. The weather was awful - Middleham had had a good downfall of snow overnight, albeit a little early. We enjoyed a drink in the bar area whilst our room was ready. Our room was spotlessly clean, with an excellent view of Middleham Castle. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in the bar where we met Fiona - the proprietor. What a lovely lady. Our meal was excellent - could not be faulted. After a restful night's sleep, we were delighted to see that the snow has disappeared. Breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. It certainly set us up for the rest of today - Sunday 24th. Very nice to see the race horses being exercised. Fiona explained that Middleham is the Newmarket of the North - many riding stables in the area. Another visit is a MUST. Next time we will take our dog with us to meet Fiona!!

Beautiful location and setting, lovely rooms and outstanding food

First class service and excelent food

The feedback I gave was not for the white bear as it was closed and a note saying please go to green dragon. The green dragon is a cosy little pub, friendly staff, a great pint! I would definately stay there again

Everything, loved it, room was amazing, breakfast was 10/10 best breakfast i had in a long time. staff super friendly and helpful, can't wait to go back.

Lovely English pub accommodation. The highlight was the quality and variety of meals available. Friendly staff.

The staff were friendly and the chief cooked us a meal when we arrived late due to the traffic from London on the A1. He also cooked us an early breakfast as we had to leave early. I’ve stayed in a lot of places due to travel but they all say, ‘computer says no’ when ask for food late. A true family pub. The room was small but just right, very clean and with a great bed and shower. The pub is a mile from the A1 so away from the traffic, relaxing and easy to find with places of interest near by. Parking is opposite off road but very safe even for bikes. When I’m up next time it’s a perfect stop.

Super recomendable!! Lynne was the Best host ever!!!

The bar staff were so welcoming

This was a beautiful place to stay in and the breakfast was amazing.

This is an absolute gem. Stunning property, amazing hospitality and quite possibly the best breakfast we have ever had. We have recommended you left, right and centre. Attend to detail, VERY clean and cosy. Very keen to become a part of the local community and use local suppliers - and this again, is reflected in the quality. Cannot fault (and I own my own travel company - I’ve stayed in A LOT of places)

The property is super quirky with so much charm. Lots of parking and beautiful grounds.

Very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious
