The room was spacious, clean, simple and very comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious and satisfying !! At night, the city lights were beautiful and lit up from the room.

Located in the historical centre of Guarda, this hotel is 150 metres from the city’s cathedral. The green areas of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park are a 10-minute drive from the Hotel Santos.

With friendly staff, clean rooms, a good expanded-continental breakfast buffet, and a fine location in the center of town, this hotel is a great choice. The classic building itself is very impressive, and offers some interesting interior stonework, a nice guest lounge, and other sitting nooks here and there — the hotel is practically an extension of the beautiful, historic town in which it is centered. Don’t miss the photo of Spanish philosopher Miguel de Unamuno, who stayed here in 1908 when, I presume, it was still a private residence. (Note: though the site placed a tiny Spanish flag under my name -- and I don't really have any objection -- I'm actually from the USA.)

Only 5 km from the historic centre of Guarda, Hotel Pombeira is located just off the A25 and A23 Motorways. It offers great-value accommodation in spacious rooms and free private parking.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. We arrived earlier than expected but the receptionist made us feel very welcome and arranged for our room to be ready at this earlier time. Excellent room and breakfast.

It is a lovely old house. Everything is very comfortable and clean. The house is charming and you have access to the kitchen, living room (even with a pool table), garden... The hospitality of Fernando is amazing. Breakfast included was nice. Definitely recommended!
