The breakfast was delicious and included a wide variety of foods for all tastes. The staff were very welcoming and Mr Moys in particular greeted us each day as though we were good friends. The hotel location was very good being a few hundred metres from Souq Waqif where we dined at the stunningly decorated Parisa Restaurant. Across the road was the free local tram that took us to the nearby 4 Msheireb museums which covered the fascinating history of QATAR. Our favourite concierge ever was Emmanual who provided lots of information, booked our dinner reservation at Parisa and most of all provided a surprise 57th wedding anniversary goodies platter in our room. His good humour and caring attitude was second to none! He made us feel very special.

Omadbek’s attention to detail and kindness made every interaction special, and Ilham’s positive energy truly elevated my stay. Great hotel with exceptional staff. They were undertaking renovations whilst I was there but it did not impact me at all. Bedrooms are large and very comfortable. I liked the location within walking distance of the Sourk . Would definitely return. The doormen are probably some of the best I have ever encountered so well done. Friendly and informative .

Extremely good staff at this hotel - every person we interacted with was a hospitality star. The staff somehow managed to anticipate our every need in a subtle way that we didn't feel interrupted, and we never had to ask for anything. Put it this way, if I were to choose one service team to meet me at every hotel we stay at, it would be this team. 10/10 guest focused and a top service experience not only in Doha but anywhere in the world. Thank you for a lovely stay!

    It was family friendly, with lots of places to eat to suit every budget. Maybe avoid Fridays as a lot of stalls are closed for religious reasons until later in the day. If you’re not staying close by, a trip on the Metro to Souq Waqif station will get you there easily.

    Wear something comfortable and conversative, dress code is important. Bargain the prices and enjoy the simple and authentic Arabic souq. This is the place to get oil based perfumes at a fraction of the Mall cost, there is a wide range of Abayas abd other traditional attire,you will be surprised at the variety.....Happy exploring!

    This hotel is based right in the center.

    This hotel is based right in the center. Perfect location if you want to experience the traditional night life.Bustling with people after 5pm, safest place to be. Good food. Metro 5 mins🚶‍♂️‍➡️ some local malls. The hotel itself is clean the staff are amazingly freindly and very helpful. Beds very comfortable. Clean rooms. 👌Excellent service. I would definitely recomend this hotel fir first time visitors.

    The traditional Souq is truly remarkable, with its captivating architecture and a plethora of traditional restaurants and cafes. Visitors can explore an array of souvenirs, artifacts, perfumes, bakhoor, fabrics, and traditional customs, as well as gold jewelry and accessories, rugs, and textiles from various countries. It's worth noting that not all items are Qatari-made products. However, prices tend to be high and not fixed; some shops may even sell the same items at double the price. While some areas are equipped with air conditioning, others are not, making it challenging to wander around, especially in the summer months.

    A unique market which is clearly both a tourist attraction and a place of communal gatherings for locals. There is an abundance of merchandise of all descriptions and predilections, assuring each a measure of satisfaction. Because of the variety of both products and prices, it is worthwhile setting aside time to explore. Compared to many other Middle Eastern Markets, hawking here is more “polite” and makes for a more pleasurable experience rather than feeling pressured into making a hasty on the spot decisions. Aside from the merchandise, there is an abundance of places to both dine and relax, which appears to be a considerable pastime for the majority who visit this wonderful location.

    My room was huge, with an extra lounge, writing desk and walk in robe, a whole area that I closed off! The sort of place I could live in! The Royal Qatar has been a grand hotel in it's day. It is very opulent, but getting a little tired and dated now. Very comfortable, none the less! Located close to the Souq Waqif, and ten minutes from the metro, is very convenient!

    Excellent location for those on a layover and wanting to visit Doha. Short distance from the airport and hotel is connected with a walkway to the famous Souq Waqif. Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff well trained and extremely helpful and friendly!

    Al Mirqab is a hotel of a good standard (big & clean rooms, comfortable beds), conveniently located in Souq Waqif. Special recognition goes to the porter named Prakash, who was very kind and helpful (he arranged all our transfers by melex golf cart, provided information about nearby attractions, as well as about the possible guided tour of Doha). Thank you very much, Prakash for taking a good care of us!

    Friendly and helpful staff, accommodated all our needs and were always courteous. Great location, very near to Souq Waqif. The metro station is a minute or two walk from the hotel. The apartment was amazing. Photos and videos don't do it justice. The ambience is great in the evenings and at night. Definitely recommended.

    Exceptional - spotlessly clean, staff were very approachable, thoughtful and very accommodating. Location was superb and within walking distance to lots of major attractions like the Museum of Qatar and the Museum of Islamic Art, along with the Flag Plaza, The Corniche, Souq Waqif, Old Piet and Mina District. I could not have been in a better location. I highly recommend The Golden Tulip Hotel and would definitely stay here again

    This hotel provides nice accomodation in a location walkable distance from Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif. Accomodation was clean, comfortable, staff very nice, they waited for me, even when I arrived after the check-in hours. I definitely recommend this accomodation for a stay in Doha!

    A beautiful and wonderful hotel, worth trying. My family and I enjoyed it there. Thanks to all the staff, especially the reception team, Roshan and Aziz. The hotel is clean and close to Souq Waqif. It has free car service and the services are very excellent. It really deserves five stars. I highly recommend it, especially for families.
