Hotels near Del Monte Beach, Monterey

I recently stayed at the Spindrift Inn for three nights with my family. While the hotel had some nice touches, my overall experience was mixed. I had originally booked a king room with an ocean view, but upon check-in, we were given a different room with two queen beds, which they said was slightly larger. While the extra space didn’t make much difference to us (as we brought our own inflatable bed for our toddler), the room was located right next to the elevator. Unfortunately, the noise from the elevator disturbed my sleep throughout the night. For the price we paid, I also expected a higher level of cleanliness. The floor still had sand on it, which was uncomfortable as we walked around the room. On the positive side, the breakfast delivered to our room was a thoughtful touch, though it would have been better if there were enough pastries for each person in the room, as we only received two. Overall, while the location and some aspects of the stay were pleasant, the high cost combined with the noise and cleanliness issues leave me uncertain about returning or recommending this hotel.

Cozy and perfectly clean room, with a nice warm pool outside and access to the bay in just couple minutes, some little but important things like coffee and tea in the room
