Hotels near Panhandle, Western Addition

When planning our grand tour of the US Southwest and California, we were apprehensive about the cost of hotels in the major cities (LA, SF, LV). We stumbled upon Hotel Majestic as we wanted somewhere away from the Tenderloin district and main tourist traps. We could not have been happier with this property. We felt so safe in Japantown (very family orientated) and loved being so close to some of the most amazing restaurants! The hotel was clean, with a very comfy (albeit extremely high) bed and a fab breakfast included in the price! I would definitely recommend this hotel and this area

Peter was very welcoming and helpful! Will stay again. Room with ensuite overlooking the street was perfect. Close to Castro Street and restaurants. So nice to wake up with the San Francisco sun streaming through the windows. A highlight. And a great memory.

Perfect area. Full of good resto's, shops, naar the haight, safe hood, good room, in the center of all you need to see.

Wifi worked very well, coffee and water 24/7 for free, people were nice and the room comfy. It’s very well located because a bit outside of downtown directly in front of a Muni Station.

Fabulous sized apartment for a family of 5. Quaint San Fran feel. Well equipped with everything we needed. Great location next to Golden Gate Park. Water and snacks in the kitchen on our arrival. Lovely free breakfast included.

The Metro is a home from the beginning. It is simple, small and a bit crooked but is is full of heartiness. The owner (?) helps you with anything and gives you good guidance especially for the Haights. A good place to start your trip to SF. Arnold

A very special location with very few hotels to choose from, but Laurel Inn delivers in all aspects despite the lack of competition! Its got a mixed vibe between a boutique hotel and comfy roadside motel. The rooms are spacious (both the bathroom and sleeping area), the beds are cozy, the staff are all friendly and helpful.

A very lovely place! I loved the care they put into decorations, details, interior. It was a very pleasant stay and I felt very comfortable. Breakfast was good, everything you need with good quality items.
