The lodge is secluded,perfect for when one needs to be away from the city. All rooms have pool and garden view with bord sounds throughout the day,the tranquility is top notch. The rooms are big with large showers that always have hot water. There are aircons in the room. The staff,mme Antoinette and her team with ntate Josiah,always there to serve with smiles on their faces. I loved everything about Normann Safari bush lodge!

From the moment we arrived and were given such a warm welcome, we knew we’d made the right choice with this beautiful lodge. A handful of round houses nestle within a beautifully landscaped, lush garden that surrounds the cosy dining area with its fire pit. Behind this lies a communal pavilion with a lounge and library. Here, you can settle in and enjoy a welcome drink whilst checking in and receiving an introduction to the lodge and its activities. At the edge of the lodge, there is a terrace with sun loungers and a fantastic view over the valley with the river. We had a large herd of elephants strolling right past us. Be sure to bring binoculars – there’s plenty to see even from there. And the staff were happy to serve us dinner there too. The round huts seem larger on the inside than they do from the outside. There’s even room for a bathtub, in addition to the shower and double washbasins. Of course, there are more luxurious accommodations, but nothing is lacking, and the charm is second to none. Before bedtime, the beds are made up and mosquito nets put in place. Even on the day of departure, the room is tidied and the beds made to make packing easier. The meals were delicious across the board (we are self-confessed foodies), and individual requests were catered for at all times. The safaris were a fantastic experience. There were six of us and we had a vehicle to ourselves; no more than six people ever sit in one vehicle. Our guide Wienand ‘Eagle Eyes’ looked after us brilliantly. The wildlife is abundant here. Elephants everywhere, even very, very close by. A herd of over two hundred buffalo right next to our vehicle. Hippos, various antelopes, giraffes, monkeys, wild dogs and hyenas. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any big cats, but they are there, as photos taken by a couple we met here prove. Of course, there’s no ‘zoo ticket’... Many thanks to our hosts and the fantastic staff. An absolute little jewel in the Gritjie private game reserve. JP & Danielle and at the time also their daughter Camille gave our honeymoon stay the absolute perfect touch. Extra champagne and a personal congratulations card gives you bubbles in your belly as well. 🥰 JP is an excellent ranger with a lot of knowledge which he enjoys to share and Danielle make the best food to your preferences you can imagine. You can rest assured that you will not leave this place hungry. This is the best safari experience we have ever had. Although we did not see an overwhelming amount of animals but that is a total lottery. This stay was totally A-mazing!!! 🤩😍

Location great, the place nice and clean, staff very friendly and helpfull

This was a great hotel to relax and do nothing but reading and swimming. Great bungalow. Great pool with enough seats. Good breakfast. Nice dinners. Staff attentive. It was a real pleasant experience. If you want, Entrence Kruger is nearby. As is the supermarket and petrolstation.
